Our serum uses a blend of two potent Vitamin C ingredients to brighten dark spots, protect against UV, and increase collagen synthesis, all without irritating sensitive skin. This is a must for all skin types and the best way to start your day. Gently massage it onto clean, damp skin and wait to dry before following up with your facial oil, Goat Milk Hydrator and or SPF. Our PRO TIP is to try mixing our facial oils like the Super Seed Oil, Anti-Inflammatory Elixir, or Rescue Hydrate for a smoother, more radiant glow. Our facial oils have a mixture of specific carrier oils which safely “carry” the serum deeper into the skin activating the botanicals giving you the maximum absorption and efficacy of both serums.
Most Vitamin C serums are made with unstable, highly acidic forms of Vitamin C that dry out and damage fragile or sensitive skin. Our serum contains magnesium ascorbyl phosphate (MAP), a skin friendly Vitamin C derivative that will boost collagen production. Because MAP is less acidic than other Vitamin C derivatives, it won’t dry out your skin like most brightening products. Plus, a little goes a long way. This ingredient can be used at concentrations below 10% and still acts as an anti-inflammatory and an anti-oxidant to guard against sun damage.
MAP is combined with tetrahexyldeecyl absorbate, which is a fat-soluble form of Vitamin C. That means the tetrahexyldeecyl can penetrate the lipids of the skin to reach the second layer, or the dermis, where collagen is made. If your dermis isn’t producing enough collagen to prevent wrinkles and fine lines on its own, the tetrahexyldeecyl can stimulate collagen production to help skin appear more youthful. It also prevents acne—if breakouts are a concern, this is the serum for you.
These two Vitamin C powerhouses are rounded out by the addition of skin-brighteners such as licorice root extract, turmeric, and azleic, malic, arbutin, ferulic acids.
