Summer Skincare Guide | Protection and Prevention of UV Damage

There is so much misinformation out in the ethers, LIV + GRACE SKINCARE is here to set things straight regarding best practices of Summer Time Skin Protection.

 

The infographic below makes it easy to learn the basic ABCs of UV Protection and how to amplify your radiance and keep your skin extra glowy, regardless of age, during the summer and beyond.

 

Besides following our SPF Rules below, you may want to add skincare that feeds the skin on a cellular level with the highest quality, NONTOXIC ingredients, just like you would want to feed your body (seems like a no brainer, right?), but this time with topicals for your face and body.

 

Since we can absorb up to 70% of our topical products within a minute of application, and they can quickly circulate through the body via the blood stream, we need to pay extra close attention to the ingredients in our skincare. Who wants hormone disruptors (difficult menstrual cycles or infertility for men and women), carcinogens and phthalates (in “fragrance” and plastic exposed ingredients), among thousands more, causing a multitude of harm to humans, but especially the most vulnerable…. preborn, infants, children, elderly and pregnant women? Nada!

 

Let’s make this easy!  Besides always using a good stable vitamin C and anti-oxidant serum each morning like our Brightening Anti-Oxidant Serum, which has all that and more, you want to keep your skin hydrated. Some people get oilier in the summer, so they may be able to skip some hydrating steps, but if that isn’t you, here goes!

 

First start with a hydrating, nutritive mist, like LIV + GRACE SKINCARE’S, Vital Complete Essence- a super charged liquid hydrating serum with extra boosters to amplify plumping hydration and nutrients like probiotics, hyaluronic serum, biofermented kelp, calming organic rose hydrosol, aloe vera, coconut extract, calendula flowers, poppy seed oil and watermelon extract, an ancient Asian secret to plump and hydrate. Spray on naked clean skin before layering your serums or moisturizers, or as a pick me up over make up to refresh throughout the day.

Third, use the Super Seed Oil, a multidimensional botanical facial serum, to seal in everything from decolletage to forhead by pressing in over the top of all topicals. We take the Chardoney grapes seeds and use their cold pressed oil in our body oil and blend it with Olive, Rosehip Seed Oil, Squalene, Avocado Oil, Jojoba Oil, Sesame, Sunflower, and Rice Bran Oils, Vitamin E, Ylang-Ylang, Lemon and Bergamot. Apply this while damp, or after spraying yourself with the Vital Complete Hydrating Essence. I like to mix it in my body lotion too!
