Who Still Tests on Animals?

Who Still Tests on Animals?

The cat is out of the bag…

I talk a lot about ingredients in your products and the misleading advertising tactics in the unregulated personal care industry in the United States, but my daughter, Grace, suggested I take a closer look at which companies still test on animals.  I thought, “Really? That seems like a thing of the past?”.  Unfortunately, after doing some research, I found a whole slew of companies, big and small, some luxury, some drug store and some in almost every household, partaking in this horrible type of animal cruelty just to test their products.  What some do for money and profits…

In keeping with our mission of transparency in an almost opaque business, I want to assure you, Liv + Grace Skincare never tests on animals.  We beta test on people and in a holistic skincare clinic setting, Cindy O’Brien Aesthetics.  I would never consider using any product or ingredients which are tested on animals.

Therefore, as I always say, “You get to choose.  As long as you have the facts, you can choose for yourself”.   You may be surprised to see who is still on this list and I am sure this is not all.  Also keep in mind, many small companies these days were bought up by larger companies who are known for animal testing.  Pay attention to who owns and makes your skincare products.

Here are some companies I found-

I have to say, I was surprised by quite a few brands like, Ojon, L’Occitane, Glamglow, Jurlique, Fresh, Caudalie and Bliss.  Many were independent small brands not too long ago and may have been bought out by a big conglomerate. All bets are off if and when that happens.
